Ah, I've been using florecent for years. Because of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, incandescent bulbs that use 40 to 150 Watts are banned (with the exception of including appliance lamps, "rough service" bulbs, 3-way, colored lamps, and plant lights) will be banned by 2014 (Wikipedia.)
