Also, true story: the other day, I was eating a taco, and a pinto bean fell out of said taco onto the carpet. When I picked up the bean, it was covered in fuzz. Adorably, it looked just like an eable. Awww...
I looked into a can of beans today, and they were all fuzzy. Reminded me of an eable too, though I didn't get a warm, fuzzy feeling from it. Kinda grossed me out.
@ Dave: The tribbles have re-appeared in Star Trek multiple times: cameos in Star Trek III and the most recent movie, Star Trek. They were also cameoed in Enterprise and featured in the DS9 time travel episode "Trials and Tribble-ations, which literally re-visited the TOS episode, "Trouble with Tribbles."
Canonically speaking, though, the tribbles didn't fare to well: the Klingon Empire viewed the tribbles as a menace and hunted them down almost into extinction, destroying the tribble homeworld in the process.
Wow, what a way to kill off and cute, cuddly creature...now I'm sad...and have completely outed myself as a nerd.

(Note: I did not eat the bean.)
Awww... also, it might be time to vacuum.
Are these the famous Tribbles from the original Star Trek episode?
Was there a problem with William Shatner on the set shooting that day?
I always wondered what happened to them...
