Also, if you don't know what a LARPer - or "live-action role player" - is, consider yourself lucky. Essentially, they occupy one of the lowest echelons of the geek hierarchy, barely edging out furries. Imagine playing Dungeons and Dragons, except instead of rolling dice, you're batting each other with cheap foam swords while arguing about whose stats are better. In theory, it sounds fun, if not tempting. But if you actually see it in action, the temptation melts away into a kind of awkwardness that's hard to describe.

-Wikipedia it, -Watch the Shinning Right before Jack Nicholson chases his wife that looks a lot like Olive Oil from Popeye, -Google Image it, but for the love of God, USE SAFE SEARCH, YOU WILL STILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES!
